HinaLea Model 4250 VNIR Hyperspectral Camera

A non-contact imager covering Visible, Near-infrared (VNIR) range from 400nm to 1000nm. The 4250 weighs a scant 1.25kg and measured only 198mm X 81mm X 78mm. It can be easily deployable in the research laboratory, field or 24/7 production/inspection environment. It can measure spectral and spatial information simultaneously with a spectral resolution of 4nm FWHM across 300 spectral bands and a spatial resolution of up to 2.3MP

A Hyperspectral Camera covering visible - NIR wavelength range

Hinalea model 4250

HinaLea 4250 VNIR system is a hyperspectral imager that utilizes Fabry Perot technology. It includes both hardware and software components necessary for a wide range of hyperspectral imaging applications. The system employs a tunable filter to sequentially select spectral bands in front of the sensor, generating a hyper-cube by capturing complete images at each band-pass. The 4250 is capable of capturing high-spatial-resolution image data-cubes across the visible to near infrared spectrum at a resolution of 4 nm within seconds. It can also be programmed to scan a specific subset of bands based on the application and object being imaged. Unlike other hyperspectral imagers, the 4250 overcomes challenges related to image uniformity and offers high spectral and spatial resolution. Additionally, HinaLea has prioritized making their technology compact, lightweight, and affordable, allowing for easy deployment in lab, production, or field environments.

One of the unique attributes of the HinaLea system is its wavelength selectivity. In many spectral imaging applications, data is spectrally sparse, and it is sufficient to acquire only a subset of spectral bands. Since multispectral cameras as well as grating-based hyperspectral scanning cameras have their spectral bands, “hard-wired”, much of the acquired data is useless. This results in vast amounts of data which need to be stored, transmitted and processed, significantly increasing the size and costs of systems incorporating these cameras. The HinaLea system can be programmed to scan only a subset of bands, and this subset can be dynamically controlled based on the object to be imaged. Resultant scans can be shorter and generate smaller data sets, saving time and money.
